9 Ajmaq

Today our human consciousness has the opportunity for growth in forgiveness and personal service.
The key to this growth is by a search for expression and transmission.
Ajmaq is a day that brings an energy that is the mother of all mistakes, offenses, and lack of responsibility before the Great Father and all manifestations of life and creation. Mayan Grandfathers have told us that sin is a direct offense against Ajaw. Power 9 has meanings including feminine energy and love. It is a good day to ask for forgiveness and act with compassion.
Power 9 has warm and loving vibrations, and Ajmaq is a day to hear teachings from the Elders. It is a very strong day to ask for and receive forgiveness.
This is only a reference as to what day of the Cholq'ij calendar aligns with our familiar dates.
For more information, buy the book by Mayan elder Carlos Barrios, books by Mayan Daykeeper Denise Barrios, or any other books regarding this Sacred Calendar

  1. Ajmaq was a day when people living in the Mayan social structure would reflect on their lives, make offerings and apologies, and hear wisdom from the Elders. It was a day to stay home and do this reflection, only leaving to make apologies and offerings to others and to Earth our Mother, and to hear the Elders speak to the community.
