Today our human consciousness has the opportunity for growth in liberation from the past.
The key to this growth is through fire and atonement.
Toj represents cause and effect and atonement. The energy of Toj is the energy that repays us for all the good and bad we have done in our lives. It means Grandfather Sun and his representative on earth, Tojil, the sacred ceremonial fire. Power 1 is the beginning, the essence of all things. It has force and wisdom but is lacking in experience. Creative new solutions may manifest on this day.
Toj is a day for offerings; a day in which to calm any instability that may be manifesting in your life, and a day that brings justice and hope. It is a good day to ask that you be paid what you deserve for your work!
A new trecena is beginning again, this one ruled by Toj. In ancient times, this 13 day period was considered unfortunate and difficult. In modern times, it seems to be a time when we have to deal with the messy aspects of life and negative emotions we may be feeling. What is deeply needed is group healing, and acceptance of change by the group.
This is only a reference as to what day of the Cholq'ij calendar aligns with our familiar dates.
